Hello you,
I love to think. Left to its own devices my mind moves fast, rapids crashing and flowing through rocks. Barely time to finish one thought before I’m on to the next.
It’s easy to get carried along by that rushing river. One of the traps I often fall into, even after so many years of spiritual and embodiment explorations, is the urge to overthink the magical. I want to make an experience mean something before I’ve even finished experiencing it. I try to hurry to make sense of things in an attempt to explain the ineffable away into something neat.
But not everything needs to be made sense of.
Some things just need to be experienced.
It’s taken time to learn how to not rush language onto sensation, emotion, intuition. How to just be with it, tenderly noticing instead of overlaying meaning. It’s not that thinking doesn’t have its place, it just works better if I can feel things first. Let them be unspoken for a moment before crowding words in.
Today’s zine is all about that unspoken world. You can also find a link to the pdf version here.
