Some things just take time
Hello you,
There’s a lesson I’m spiraling deeper and deeper into of late. This is me (lovingly) calling myself out.
First off - have you ever tried to make a flower bloom? I have. I can feel my little kid fingers prising a flower open, trying to rush to the end and make the beauty happen all ready. The petals always ended up bruised and crushed in the process.
Maybe you need to hear this right now too:
Things must take the time they take.
You have time.
Release that push and force. It’s okay to stop gripping the world in a clenched fist, and trust a little. Make some space, unhook from the cultural drug of urgency, and see what comes through.
Which is a way of saying that there’s a lot brewing at An_Other Practice right now.
This spring has been a flurry of creation and reinvention, and there are a bunch of exciting new things coming your way soon. I was hoping to share all the details in this newsletter.
I wanted to invite you to a month of rest in July, tell you all about the return of Wayward Bodies podcast, show you my new website, and offer you a free toolkit of radical embodiment practices but you (and I) will simply have to wait.
I’m learning to be done with force.
Sending you all the slow, spacious vibes this week, babe. May you let yourself, and your creations, bloom in your own sweet time.
